GCF Youth Ministries
The youth ministry of GCF Wharton is designed to propel our youth into action, and to give them a bigger vision for their lives. We look to not only stir up passion for Christ, but show them they are meant, called, and equipped to do the mission that God has called them to. We believe that every youth that enters our doors will leave knowing they are a strong Christian and see God move throughout all areas of influence.
We meet weekly on Wednesday nights at our Youth Center at 201 N. Houston Street. We offer times of fun-filled games and fellowship, worship, and biblical teachings. Outside of our weekly meetings we offer community projects, special intensives and seminars designed to equip youth with current issues they face today, and also mission trips (both domestic and international).

MATT & OKSANA SWEENEY Youth Pastors Matt was born and raised in Wharton County, serving in ministry from an early age under his parents (Lead Pastor Myles Sweeney). Matt served as an assistant youth leader in the GCF Wharton youth ministry for two semesters before going on to serve as youth pastor in Grace Fellowship of Cabot, Arkansas for three years. He has since returned to GCF Wharton to continue pursuing the calling of God on his life to minister to young people and see the promises for this generation become a reality. His heart is to see young people experience Christ in a passionate, authentic way in their own lives and to discover their God-given destinies, talents, and abilities. Oksana was born in Vyshgorod, Ukraine, approximately five miles away from the capital city of Ukraine, Kiev. Oksana is the oldest of three children in her family, with one younger brother and sister. Her entire family remains in Ukraine, where she and Matt were married in July 2009 in full Ukrainian style. Oksana has been serving God with her whole heart and soul since she was fifteen years old. Growing up in Ukraine, Oksana served on the children’s ministry leadership team for many years and also gave much of her time and effort to orphanages. She now loves serving in the youth ministry with her husband Matt, and her biggest passion in life is to see young people transform their lives for God, and to find genuine happiness and fulfillment in the same way she has herself in her relationship with Christ.

HALLE HAJDUCEK Halle Hajducek began attending GCF Wharton at the age of 10. From age 12 to 18, she served on the youth worship team and in high school began playing on the adult worship team as well. After graduating, she felt the Lord calling her to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where she moved for two years to continue being a part of GMI by leading worship and working with the children's ministry at Communities of Grace. She moved back to Wharton in December 2010, where she is now currently a student at the University of Houston pursuing a degree in Business Marketing. She loves discovering new music, sewing, and doing anything crafty and creative! Her passion is to see young people experience the Father's heart in a real, exciting way. She desires to be used to ignite the youth of this generation to make the choice to embark on the amazing adventure that is serving the Lord.
